Including at least some of these tasty foods in your diet will help to protect your teeth and could even whiten them slightly too.
Red Bell Peppers
These are packed with vitamin C which is necessary for gum health. Other foods that are good for your gums include oranges, broccoli, peaches and kiwifruit.
Crunchy, fibrous celery has a slight scrubbing action on your teeth, helping to remove some plaque. The mere act of chewing it helps to stimulate saliva production, washing away excess food particles. Other foods that can help to naturally clean your teeth include cucumber, apples, radishes and carrots. However, you will still need to brush and floss!
Cheddar cheese is an excellent source of calcium, phosphorus and casein protein, all of which will help to strengthen your tooth enamel. Eating cheese also helps to neutralise acidity in the mouth so finish your meal with cheese! If you don’t like cheese, try yoghurt, almonds, tofu or milk instead as all are great for your tooth enamel.
