We do need to prepare teeth in order to veneer them which will mean removing a very small amount of tooth enamel. Even though veneers are extremely thin, typically 0.5 mm or less, they still can look too bulky if a tooth isn’t properly prepared. The veneers are custom-made in our dental laboratory to our exact specifications and can be fitted at your next visit.
With proper care, veneers should last for quite a few years. Their natural life can be prolonged through making sure you have regular check-ups and hygiene appointments and that you practice good oral care at home. Eventually all veneers will need renewing and this treatment is generally irreversible.
