Protecting Your Tooth Enamel
Avoid foods that are highly acidic or full of sugars. Bacteria in the mouth use sugary foods to form harmful acids that erode tooth enamel.
Hard, crunchy foods can crack or chip your tooth enamel so exercise caution when enjoying them and never use your teeth to open packets.
Brush your teeth at least twice a day but don’t brush them too hard because you could wear away your tooth enamel.
Strengthening Enamel
Fluoride helps to strengthen enamel, making it more resistant to acids so make sure you use good quality fluoride toothpaste and if needed, our dentist will suggest fluoride mouthwash.
